FTSE 100 edges up in early deals

LONDON (AFP) – London’s leading shares rose slightly at the start of trading on Thursday as positive corporate earnings figures countered weak US economic data.

The FTSE 100 index was up 0.26 percent at 5,333.73 points in early morning deals.
